What are over and under goals?

Over 2.5 goals wins when the match ends with 3 or more goals; under 2.5, with 2 or fewer. The .5 is there so the bet can never land exactly on the line.

In the matrix, over 2.5 is the sum of every scoreline with 3 or more goals. The same goes for 0.5, 1.5 and 3.5, and for the first half, using the first-half matrix.

The match's total xG is the quickest clue: at around 2.5 expected goals, over 2.5 usually sits near 45% to 50%.

Example. In the example match (2.5 expected goals), over 2.5 goals has a 44.9% chance, fair odds of 2.22.
