What is an Asian handicap?
Asian handicap is a market that gives one team a goal head start or deficit before kick-off, with no draw option. Lines like −0.25 or +0.75 split the stake in two and can pay a half win or a half refund.
Example: home −0.5 wins if the home side wins by any score. Home −1 wins with a victory by 2 or more and refunds the stake with a 1-goal win. Quarter lines (−0.75) blend the two neighboring lines.
